Jean Slater is one of the most experienced Canaries out there. For the past five tours, she’s traveled to corners of the galaxy most humans could only dream of and rubbed shoulders with some of the most popular stars in the cosmos—but, even after all this time, she’s been unable to recover from her initial fascination with Chromian rock legend Zylon Mars, even after being partly blamed for the breakup of his band, the Cosmic Craze.

When Jean’s latest assignment lands her face to face with Zylon’s closest companion, the lutist Sly Lyet, she would do anything to get back home and forget the whole thing ever happened. But going back isn’t that easy—especially when there’s a tour schedule to meet and millions of lightyears between her and planet Earth.

After a mishap causes the tour to fall behind schedule and forces everyone into some unexpected scenarios, Jean has to decide if she has room in her heart to give someone else a chance.
